Based on the 2005 Growth Task Force Report, the 2006 Session Framework process, and the 2006-2007 Congregational Visioning Process, we are moving forward to discern where God calls us to put our spiritual energies in Christ's name.
Integral themes of Vision 100 presuppose:
- Members of the congregation access God in different ways and we honor these differences
- The congregation is responsible for deepening and widening Fairmount’s spiritual reach
- Change is incremental and carefully monitored to preserve our fundamental character and strengths and to protect against a sense of loss
- The ministry we do with each other and the ministry we do in the larger world are one and the same and are mutually reinforcing
- Our plan is growing and evolving as we gain experience and discern God’s will for us.
Working together to connect as a community; invite others to worship with us; and constantly renew ourselves and the world at large; united by a common vision of our 100th Anniversary, how can we not succeed?

Vision 100
Fairmount's Next Journey:
A Growth Plan Based on Your Vision and God's Will
Designed to carry Fairmount forward to our 100th Anniversary, Vision 100 is organized around three distinct spheres of congregational evolution:
Connecting
To strengthen member care and our ministry to each other, we are:
- Reaching out to members who are disengaged
- Strengthening small group ministries
- Retaining staff to coordinate activities for fellowship and sharing
- Challenging members to minister to each other by making a difference in another's life
- Communicating with members in a compelling way
- Engaging members continually
- Continuing the work of the Diversity Council to ensure inclusiveness.
Inviting
To reach out to those who would benefit from worship with us, we are:
- Establishing and implementing a compelling marketing plan
- Adopting consistent design systems for our communications
- Enhancing our internet and multimedia communications
- Adopting a comprehensive newcomer hospitality program
- Strengthening our ministries to families, youth and children
- Emphasizing our inclusiveness
- Maintaining our presence through mission and community leadership.
Renewing
To deepen our faith and spiritual understanding, we are:
- Continuing to develop alternative worship services
- Broadening our basis for spiritual growth
- Enhancing our variety of Bible Study opportunities
- Establishing the Faith Formation Council to oversee member education
- Enhancing both pastoral and lay leadership.
